Maggie on Maui

The Maggie Coulombe Studio opened over the holiday weekend at Whalers Village in Kaanapali. A Toronto native, Coulombe is known for her eclectic style and her one-size-fits-all dresses in silk, cashmere, linen and other fabrics. She has dressed such celebrities as Paris Hilton, Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher and Lindsey Lohan. Coulombe is married to Maui restaurateur Louise Coul. Whalers Village is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Feel-good fitness

Fitness duo Billy Blanks Jr. and wife, Sharon Catherine Blanks, who have built a wide following through their “Dance with Me” classes and DVDs, will conduct a workout from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Nuuanu YMCA, 1441 Pali Highway. Their workouts incorporate hula, Bollywood, country, hip-hop and other styles of dance. It’s free to Y members, $25 for nonmembers. Reservations required; 541-5256. Boutique to host trunk show

Aloha ‘Aina Boutique at the Royal Hawaiian Center will host its first trunk show Friday, showcasing the 2011 summer collections from Noelani Designs and Tiare Hawaii.

Designers will meet with customers during the 1-to-7 p.m. event, and champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

San Lorenzo opens up at Ward

San Lorenzo Bikinis & Clothing has opened at the Ward Entertainment Center, offering hundreds of Brazilian- and Peruvian-made swimsuits and separates as well as beach clothing and cover-ups, locally crafted jewelry, sunglasses, hats and sandals.

San Lorenzo already has stores in Ala Moana Center, Manoa, Haleiwa, Waikiki and Kailua, and on Maui and Kauai.

Trio of sisters offers L.A. fashions

Sisters Michelle Lau and Renee and Kylene Yamauchi will host a Sorelle Fashion Trunk Show and Silpada Jewelry Sale, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Pakalana Room of the Ala Moana Hotel. Featured will be clothing, handbags, accessories and semiprecious stone and sterling silver jewelry.
