University of Hawaii at West Oahu students joined anthropologists and archaeologists this summer to conduct field work at the former Honouliuli internment camp in Kunia, where thousands of Japanese-Americans were held during World War II. All that's left of the internment camp's bath area is a large cement slab. For the past two years, University of Hawaii at West Oahu students have had the opportunity to conduct field work with archaeologists and anthropologists at Honouliuli, which was bulldozed after World War II.
