A 34-year-old Pearl City man who allegedly has been on the run since stabbing another man during a fight in Kailua on Saturday was arrested today in Aiea.

Officers in Pearl City’s Crime Reduction Unit arrested the man at 5 p.m. for investigation of second-degree attempted murder.

Police said the man was in an altercation with a 29-year-old man outside Creekside bar, at 153 Hamakua Drive, about 1:35 a.m. Saturday when he stabbed the man in the back.

The victim went to the hospital in stable condition with a single puncture wound.
