Big Island police look for suspects in recent Kau brush fires

 

Hawaii County police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons who set three recent brush fires in the Kau District.

The Punaluu area fires Monday, Sunday and Wednesday. appear to be intentionally set, police said.

The fires burned along Highway 11 near Ninole Loop and the 55-mile marker.

Firefighters are mopping up today in both areas.

Anyone with information about the fires or about any suspicious persons are asked to call police at 935-3311 or CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 or 329-8181.
