» Kamaaina Termite & Pest Control admitted no wrongdoing as part of its settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over alleged misuse of Vikane, a fumigant pesticide, in treating three houses and one luxury condominium. The company said it disagreed with the allegations but agreed to settle because it wanted to avoid the time, cost and administrative burden that litigating the EPA’s allegations would require. A Page B6 business brief Wednesday did not include any comment from the company.
