Hei Shan, China >> Shaquille Stokes poured in 29 points and Davis Rozitis shook off food poisoning to add 17 as the Hawaii men’s basketball team routed Shenyang of the Chinese Basketball Association 89-70 on Monday night.

The Rainbow Warriors improved to 2-1 in exhibitions against teams of the premier Chinese pro hoops league on their Warriors to Asia tour.

A packed house of about 3,000 at Fushanmuye Arena saw the teams nearly come to blows in the third quarter, but order was restored and Stokes buried some late baskets to preserve the win.

The freshman point guard buried four of UH’s seven 3-pointers. Sophomore forward Trevor Wiseman added 13 points and junior forward Joston Thomas chipped in 10.

UH rematches Shenyang on Tuesday night in the last of four matches against the CBA.
