Carmichael will not transfer to Hawaii
A day after the Major League Baseball deadline for draft picks to sign with their professional teams passed, recruit Nick Carmichael informed Hawaii coaches that he would not enroll at UH this year.
A 17th-round pick of the Baltimore Orioles, Carmichael will instead remain at Palomar (Calif.) Junior College.
He’s the second recruit the Rainbows have lost in less than 24 hours.
