The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office identified the man killed after he was apparently run over by a hit-and-run driver in Kailua Saturday night as Micah Borengasser, 19, of Kailua.

Police are looking for a 33-year-old Kailua man in the case.

The two men fought on Keolu Drive in Kailua’s Enchanted Lake neighborhood around 9:40 p.m. Saturday night when a Jeep-type vehicle drove off apparently to avoid further confrontation, police said. But Borengasser fell and was run over, police said. The driver fled the scene.

Borengasser was taken in critical condition to Castle Medical Center, where he later died.

Police said they recovered the alleged vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, on Oneawa Street in Kailua Sunday afternoon.
