Honolulu police are seeking a man in connection with the robbery of the McCully branch of Central Pacific Bank about 11:10 a.m. Thursday.
Police said a man entered the bank at 2002 S. King St. and handed a note to the teller. He fled on foot mauka toward Young Street, police said.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, between 140 and 160 pounds, with a moustache and beard, and wearing a red, hooded sweat jacket, a baseball cap, long blue jeans and black-and-white athletic shoes.
Kailua hit-and-run crash suspect released
The suspect in a hit-and-run collision in Enchanted Lake on Saturday night was released by police Thursday pending further investigation.
The Kailua man, 33, surrendered to police Tuesday night and was arrested on suspicion of third-degree negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.
Police said Micah Borengasser, 19, got into a fight with the suspect who was about to drive away in a Jeep Cherokee from Keolu Drive about 9:40 p.m. Saturday. The driver of the Jeep drove off from the scene, apparently to avoid further confrontation, and ran over Borengasser, who had fallen to the ground, police said. Borengasser was taken to Castle Medical Center, where he died.
