A suspect in the robbery of Central Pacific Bank’s McCully branch will be housed at a halfway house while he awaits a preliminary hearing next month.
Ronnie L. Naone, 37, made his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren on Wednesday.
Police said they believe it was Naone who robbed the bank at McCully and South King streets about 11:10 a.m. Sept. 8.
He was arrested Monday in the parking lot of the Don Quijote store on Kaheka Street.
Naone, who is homeless, posted $25,000 bail and is to be housed at the Mahoney Hale halfway house until his preliminary hearing Oct. 12 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin S.C. Chang.
