The Office of Hawaiian Affairs plans to offer services in Kapolei each month.

The agency is launching a monthly outreach program in the West Oahu town on Monday. OHA officials also plan to return to Kapolei once a month to offer information on services including grants, scholarships, loans, and nation-building.

It will also accept registration in the Hawaiian Registry Program on site.

The outreach program is scheduled to be held between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the last Monday of each month.

OHA Community Outreach Program Manager Dirk Soma says the initiative aims to provide beneficiaries with information in a more convenient location than OHA’s downtown Honolulu headquarters.

OHA says it’s considering holding similar outreach programs elsewhere on Oahu. The agency also has offices on each island.
