Washington DE Jamora done for the season
Washington defensive end Hau‘oli Jamora (Kahuku ’10) will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee suffered in the first quarter of Saturday’s 31-23 victory over California.
“He’s going to be missed in more ways than one, not just rushing the passer, but what he brings on a day-to-day basis for our football team,” Huskies coach Steve Sarkisian said during a press conference on Monday.
In three-plus games this season, Jamora’s 15 tackles were tied for the most among UW defensive linemen. Three of those went for losses, and he also had UW’s only sack in a season-opening win over Eastern Washington.
Washington coaches said they were hopeful Jamora would qualify for a medical redshirt.
