A training workshop is being offered to those who work with children of deployed military service members.

The Ready, Set, Go! deployment training is part of the Hawaii Operation: Military Kids program and is geared toward giving participants insight into issues that military youth and their families face during deployments. Adults who have children or work with children in programs and agencies, such as the Department of Education, private schools, prechools, after school programs, youth organizations, churches and sports, are encouraged to attend.

The training is free and will be held at the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team facility in Kapolei, from 8:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 21. The deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 10, and seating is limited.

Those who want to attend should email Operation: Military Kids with their name, title, school/organization, and telephone number to: omk@ctahr.hawai.edu. For more information, call 956-4125.
