Abercrombie’s communications director to leave
Josh Levinson, Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s communications director, told fellow staffers today that he is leaving, sources say.
Levinson’s departure follows the decision by Amy Asselbaye, the governor’s chief of staff, and Andrew Aoki, the deputy chief of staff, to resign.
Levinson will remain on the job until Abercrombie names a new communications director, sources say.
The Abercrombie administration has struggled to cope with several communications related setbacks over the past several months.
Several other state officials have left the Abercrombie administration in the past month, including Human Resources Development director Sunshine Topping, Civil Defense deputy director Ed Teixeira and Hawaii Public Housing Authority executive director Denise Wise.
