Firefighters put out brush fire on Molokai
A fire consumed about five acres of dry brush Monday near the Molokai community center farm in Hoolehua, a Maui fire battalion chief reported.
The fire, reported at 11:30 a.m., was located at the intersection of Huaai Road and Maunaloa Highway in Hoolehua.
Four fire units and 17 fire personnel were dispatched at 11:35 a.m. and extinguished the fire at 6:19 p.m.
Two public work bulldozers and two public work tankers assisted.
No structures or crops were damaged and no injuries were reported.
