GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. >> A Grand Junction, Colo., mother is facing charges after witnesses reported seeing her 9-year-old daughter driving her across town at least twice last week.

Police say 36-year-old Lori Ann Rogers was cited on suspicion of two counts of permitting an authorized minor to drive, four counts of child abuse, four counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of operating an uninsured vehicle.

Witnesses say the mother was in the car at the time.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports that Rogers also is accused of letting her daughter drive with a 10-month-old child in a car seat.
