Man hospitalized with possible stab wounds
A 47-year-old man went to the hospital in serious condition Saturday after someone cut or stabbed him in Nanakuli.
According to emergency dispatch reports, the man had cuts to his left forearm and left side.
Police said they received a call from paramedics requesting they respond to Hakimo Road about 1 p.m. The victim reportedly had stab wounds and the suspect was unknown.
Detectives opened an attempted murder case.
Raid captures 5 gambling suspects
Four men and a woman were arrested on gambling charges Friday night in an apparent raid in Chinatown.
The arrests were made by police at 71 N. King St. about 10 p.m. Friday, police records show.
Arrested on various first-degree promotion of gambling charges were a Makiki man, 29; a Chinatown man, 25; a Liliha man, 32; a Chinatown woman, 34; and a Waipio man, 39.
Also arrested at the address was a Kalihi man, 34, on a contempt-of-court count.
All six people were released pending investigation.
2 teenagers arrested in Waikiki assault
Two teenagers were arrested after what appeared to be an unprovoked attack on a man in Waikiki early Saturday morning.
Police said the two male suspects, ages 13 and 19, attacked the man, 26, near Kuhio Avenue and Lewers Street for no apparent reason about 1:40 a.m.
The assault stopped when bystanders intervened, police said. The two teenagers were arrested. The 19-year-old, of a Dole Street address, is being held pending a second-degree assault charge.

Car chase ends in man’s arrest
Kauai police arrested a homeless man who led them on a high-speed chase Friday morning on the east side of the island.
The pursuit began at 7:46 a.m. at the intersection of Kuhio Highway and Kuamoo Road and ended at the Moalepe Road and Kawaihau Road intersection when the 50-year-old suspect crashed a green Honda Civic into a utility pole, police said.
The man suffered minor injuries and was checked by paramedics at the scene before being arrested.
Kauai police are still looking for another man who fled into a field after a three-quarter-mile police chase on Wednesday. That chase ended at Kauai Beach Drive and Kuhio Highway in Lihue when the 29-year-old driver lost control of his pickup truck and stopped.
Police said the suspect, David Borges of Hanamaulu, is considered armed and dangerous and is wanted in connection with multiple criminal investigations. He is also wanted on a bench warrant.
Blaze destroys Big Isle home
Hawaii County firefighters say a two-story wooden house that burned down Friday night in Mountain View is a total loss.
Firefighters responded at 10:24 p.m. to find the 800-square-foot house burned to the ground.
Damage is estimated at $45,000. The fire also damaged the bed of a pickup truck that had contained trash.
The home was at 181223 Waikiki St. Firefighters brought the fire under control at 11 p.m., then put out hot spots and extinguished the fire by 1 a.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
