2 men arrested in copper theft at Bellows
Police on Thursday arrested two men in Kaneohe who allegedly stole copper pipes from a building at Bellows Air Force Station.
Police arrested a Waimanalo man, 40, and a Waikoloa man, 39, at a Waikalua Road address in Kaneohe at about 8:30 a.m.
The Waimanalo man is being held pending charges of theft of copper, second-degree burglary and a contempt charge. The Hawaii island man is being held pending charges of theft of copper and second-degree burglary.
Boy taken into custody after fight over pen
An 11-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after allegedly assaulting another boy over a pen.
Police said the boys, classmates both age 11, were arguing over the pen in the downtown area when one boy assaulted the other at about 12:45 p.m. Sept. 21.
Police arrested the boy for investigation of third-degree assault and fourth-degree theft. He was released to his parents.
The pen was not recovered.
