Chile reports no major damage after 5.7 earthquake
A “medium-intensity” earthquake in Chile has produced no immediate reports of damage or interruption of services, the nation’s government emergency service, known as Onemi, said on its website today.
The earthquake did not prompt a tsunami warning.
The earthquake, centered near Copiapo, Chile, had a magnitude of 5.7, the U.S. Geographical Survey said today on its website. The temblor was felt at 3:54 p.m. local time, Onemi said.
