SUV backs over boy, 8, in Waipahu
An 8-year-old boy was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after an SUV backed over him in Waipahu.
The boy was pinned under the rear tire for several minutes and had an upper leg injury, according to emergency dispatch reports.
Paramedics took him to the Queen’s Medical Center. An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said he was in serious condition.
The incident happened in a parking lot on Aniani Place about 1:25 p.m.
