UH women’s basketball team loses to No. 18 DePaul
The Hawaii women’s basketball team dropped its third straight game with a 90-65 loss to No. 18 DePaul today at the Stan Sheriff Center.
DePaul guard Anna Martin scored a game-high 22 points and made five of the Blue Devils’ 11 3-pointers.
Sophomore Kamilah Jackson led the Rainbow Wahine with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Senior Breanna Arbuckle added 16 points and eight rebounds.
The Wahine (1-3) stayed with DePaul (4-1) early in the game until the Blue Demons broke away with a 13-1 run, hitting three 3-pointers in the spurt, to take a 31-18 lead.
DePaul took a 42-30 lead into halftime led by Martin’s 14 points.
UH closed to 54-46 on Jackson’s driving layup with 13:37 left, but DePaul outscored UH 18-4 over the next 5:40 and pulled away.

Portland defeated San Diego State 59-58 in the first game of the afternoon. But with three teams knotted at 2-1, SDSU won the tiebreaker — fewest total points allowed — for the tournament title.
