Two residents escape fire that destroys Kalihi Valley home
A Honolulu police officer’s wife and her toddler escaped from their burning home in Kalihi Valley this afternoon.
Firefighters were called at 12:43 p.m. to a fire at Nihi Street and brought it under control at 1:06 p.m.
Fire officials estimated the losses of $400,000 to the house and $50,000 to the family’s belongings. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
