Flash flood watch lifted for Oahu, Hawaii and Maui

The National Weather Service has lifted a flash flood watch for most islands as the weather for most islands is forecast to improve.with a return to the usual tradewind weather today and Thursday, except for Hawaii island..

A weather system in the upper atmosphere responsible for heavy rains for the last few days is moving east and is expected to stall over Hawaii island today and move past the state on Thursday.

Oahu, Kauai and Maui counties should see partly sunny skies today with scattered windward and mauka showers in the morning and scattered afternoon showers. Winds will be from the east at 15 to 20 mph and highs of 76 to 81.

Hawaii island however will have hazy and cloudy skies with scattered showers and the slight chance of afternoon and evening thundershowers, clearing after midnight.
