A 21-year-old Kapolei man was arrested after he allegedly tried to take an iPod from a customer at the Kapolei Jack In the Box restaurant Monday night.
Police said a 19-year-old man was standing outside the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. when a man tried to take the music player. The victim ran into the restaurant to get away from the robber.
The restaurant’s 36-year-old manager stopped the suspect, who punched the manager in the face and ran away.
Police searched the area and found the suspect in an adjacent park. He is facing second-degree robbery and second-degree assault charges.
