Hawaii island was wet and cold Saturday.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the island, with predictions of ice and snow on the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.
Between 1 and 3 inches of snow dusted the mountains Saturday, and roadways were expected to be icy above 10,000 feet, the bureau said. Temperatures on the peaks were between the mid-20s and low 30s.
The advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. today.
Meanwhile, Hawaii County was also under a flood advisory Saturday.
Radar showed heavy rain near Holualoa at about 5 p.m., and other affected areas included Kealakekua, Captain Cook and Honaunau, the weather service said.
