Woman dies after car drops off Maui highway
A woman died after the vehicle she and a man were in went off the side of Hana Highway and dropped 25 feet down in a rural area near Hana, Maui police said.
Police Lt. Wayne Ibarra said the woman was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition Monday afternoon.
Ibarra said the man was injured but was not in critical condition.
He said the accident in Nahiku occurred close to 3:45 p.m.
