LaTech, the WAC’s predicted champion, got it to four at 41-37 at the midpoint of the second half, but UH scored he next eight points for a 49-37 advantage with 3:27 to play.

The Lady Techsters (8-9, 1-2) scored the next seven points, but forward Breanna Arbuckle put it away with a fast-break three-point play with just under a minute left.

UH led by as many as 11 points in the first half, taking a 26-17 halftime lead as the Lady Techsters shot just 19.4 percent in the period.
