Man wanted in Chinatown stabbing turns himself in
A 34-year-old Waipahu man turned himself in to police Monday in connection with the stabbing of his girlfriend in Chinatown last month.
Police said that at 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 20, the man and the victim, 34, were arguing when it escalated and he apparently stabbed her in her back rib area with an unknown object.
The man fled before police arrived on the scene and could not be located. He turned himself at the South Beretania Street police station, where he is being held pending a charge of second-degree assault.
