UH women’s basketball team wins at Nevada
Vicky Tagalicod scored a career-high 20 points and Kamilah Jackson had 17 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to lead the Hawaii women’s basketball team to a 72-63 win at Nevada today.
UH (8-11 overall) earned its first 3-1 start to Western Athletic Conference play since the 2001-02 season.
The Rainbow Wahine snapped an eight-game losing streak to Nevada with 55.1 percent shooting from the field, compared to 31 percent for the Wolf Pack (5-14, 1-3).
Tagalicod shot 7-for-9, including 2-for-3 on 3-pointers.
The Wahine led 27-24 at halftime, then rallied once Nevada went up 37-33 with 16:15 to play.
UH continues its road trip at first-place Fresno State on Saturday.
