Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in the armed robbery of three Canadian tourists in their Waikiki hotel room Monday afternoon.

Two women, ages 61 and 30, and a man, 39, said they were in their room at a hotel at the 200 block of Lewers Street when an unknown man forcibly entered their room, police said. The man had a handgun and took several items before fleeing, police said.

The suspect is being identified as in his 40s, between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and between 120 and 140 pounds with a slim build. He was believed to have been wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, long denim pants, tan work shoes and a light-colored baseball cap.
