18- to 22-foot waves expected for North Shore of Oahu
Waves of 18- to 22 feet are expected for the north-facing shores of Oahu today, and the city’s Department of Emergency Management has issued a high-surf advisory for north- and west-facing shores until Monday morning.
West-facing shores should see waves of 10 to 15 feet, the Department of Emergency Management said.
A high-surf advisory for north- and west-facing shores of Oahu has been issued from 6 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Monday morning.
A large northwest swell is expected to arrive tonight, peak Monday night, then subside Tuesday morning, the Department of Emergency Management said.
But a new, larger swell, is expected to arrive Tuesday evening.
