Police arrested an 18-year-old man who allegedly took money left on a bar table and punched the victim when the man tried to get his money back.

Police said the suspect, who has no local address, walked into Club Colorful at Waimalu Shopping Center about 12:05 a.m. today, approached  a 46-year-old man from behind, and grabbed the man’s money on a table.

The 18-year-old fled with the victim in pursuit to a nearby park where the 6-year-old man tried to get his money back. Police said the younger man punched the other man in the face and ran away.

The victim flagged down a patrol officer who found the suspect nearby and arrested him at 12:36 a.m. for investigation of second-degree robbery.

Police said the victim had minor injuries, but declined treatment.
