Oahu flood advisory extended into Saturday

The National Weather Service has extended a flood advisory for Oahu tonight as heavy rain over the Koolau mountains continues to spreading to other areas of the islands. The advisory is set to expire at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

At 9:36 p.m. today, radar showed heavy rain nearly stationary along the Koolau Mountains from Kaneohe to Kahuku.

Other locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to, Punaluu, Wahiawa, Whitmore Village, Laie, and Kahuku.

Rainfall and runoff will cause ponding and hazardous driving conditions.
