The Hawaii women’s basketball team gave up a crippling 31-4 first-half run as Idaho defeated the Rainbow Wahine 69-50 in the regular-season finale for both teams in Moscow, Idaho, today.

UH (11-18, 6-8 Western Athletic Conference) was assigned the sixth seed in next week’s WAC tournament in Las Vegas. The Wahine play third-seeded Louisiana Tech in the first round on Wednesday.

The Vandals (11-19, 6-8) swept the season series from UH and picked up a higher seed by virtue of the head-to-head tiebreaker. UI hit 8-for-12 on 3-pointers in the first half in taking a 46-21 halftime lead.

Forward Breanna Arbuckle and point guard Alissa Campanero scored 11 points apiece to lead UH, which led for about the first 8 minutes.
