A new draft plan to end homelessness in Hawaii is available for public review.

The Hawaii Interagency Council on Homelessness will be holding eight community sessions throughout the state this month to go over key points in its draft strategic plan and collect feedback from the public.

Gov. Neil Abercrombie says the interagency council’s work has already allowed the state to move forward on homelessness initiatives. By June, he expects to have a solid statewide plan in place.

Public meetings begin on Kauai March 16.
