View images of Northeast India travels
Photographer Chick Alsop will present a travelogue slide presentation of his three-month odyssey to Northeast India at 6 p.m. March 22 at the Hawaii State Library. The free program will be conducted in the First Floor Reading Room.
The show includes photos from Calcutta, India’s second-largest city with a population of 15 million people; Bodh Gaya, where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment and arose as the Buddha; and the Himalayas in the remote state of Sikkim.

Maui museum exhibit celebrates quilts
The Bailey House Museum gardens in Wailuku, Maui, will host the third annual "Celebration of Quilts" Quilt Show and Exhibit on April 14.
Local quilters will hang their quilts throughout the gardens and demonstrate quilting methods. Antique quilts from the Maui Historical Society and private collections will be exhibited in the museum. Admission to the quilt show includes admission to the museum and is $10 and $8 for society members. Children 12 and under are free.
