Kyle Zimmer tossed a three-hit shutout, striking out 11 in San Francisco’s 3-0 win over Hawaii on Friday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Zimmer (1-1) threw 126 pitches, earning his first win of the season in his fifth start for USF (10-9).

All three runs charged to Hawaii starter Jarrett Arakawa (2-1) were unearned as Hawaii committed four errors.

Arakawa gave up five hits and no walks in six innings, striking out five.

Max Duval went 2-for-3 with a double to lead Hawaii (12-7).

The series continues on Saturday at 6:05 p.m.
