A scheduled appearance this weekend by author and scholar Diana Butler Bass at the Parish of St. Clement in Makiki has been postponed indefinitely because of medical issues experienced by Bass, the parish said.

Bass, who specializes in current American trends in belief and practice, had been schedule to speak at St. Clement Saturday and Sunday. Her visit was to focus on her new book, "Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening."
