Yunjin Kim, who was Sun in the Hawaii-filmed ABC series "Lost," has found her way to a new ABC series, "Mistresses," which will launch in summer 2013. Kim will be one of four scandalous women with morally questionable love lives; it’s an adaptation of a British soap opera. …
"Lost" alums have rebounded in three other ABC series. Terry O’Quinn (Locke) has been tapped for "666 Park Avenue," Emilie de Ravin(Claire) for "Americana" and Alan Dale (Widmore), "Beauty and the Beast."
Of course, Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) rebooted as Chin on "Hawaii Five-0" (which had O’Quinn in that questionable Shelburne story arc), anticipating its third season this fall. Also on CBS, Michael Emerson (Ben) stars in the hit series "Person of Interest."
Evangeline Lilly (Kate) has been filming Peter Jackson‘s "Hobbit" movies in New Zealand.

CALENDAR CUES: Broadway in Hawaii, which premieres "Wicked" Nov. 24 (through Jan. 16) at Blaisdell Concert Hall, has added two other shows comprising a three-production 2012-13 season: "Rain — A Tribute to the Beatles," May 13 to 19, 2013, and Blue Man Group, June18 to 23, 2013. The first show — a prequel to "Wizard of Oz" — easily is the most appealing and imaginative, and is still a major Broadway draw. The second, a staged concert of songs by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, is not to be confused with "Beatlemania," which had similar intentions. The third is a wild card — part music, part comedy, all fun and imaginative — with a trio of blue-bodied performers. The expansive split-season schedule offers variety but might be a challenge for both the presenters and the buying public. But happily, show-starved audiences will have a lot to nibble on in the months ahead. …
Na Ali‘i of Comedy, the road show with Augie T, Frank De Lima, Andy Bumatai, Edward Kaahea and Mel Cabang, winds up Friday at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center and Saturday at Blaisdell Concert Hall (see my story today on the Today cover). On the trek to Hawaii island, there was an oops moment when Bumatai inadvertently had a knife, which security confiscated. …
HERE ‘N’ THERE: Ukulele wizard Jake Shimabukuro‘s documentary film premiered recently at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, where he shared the talents of his mother (his first ukulele teacher) and his strumming brother Bruce, who joined in a miniperformance. "It was quite a magical evening," said my S.F. spy, Walt Von Hauffe, who couldn’t extend aloha to our local star because he was swarmed by well-wishers. …
Peter Bergman, founder of the surrealist comedy troupe Firesign Theater, used Makana‘s "We Are the Many" to punctuate one of his final broadcasts before the Los Angeles radio host’s March 9 death from leukemia. Lamenting the dismal state of politics, Bergman said, "I just have to hear something that … shows me the light at the end of the tunnel, that gives me a vision, that gives me a hope. So let’s listen to Makana." Makana’s reflection: "It brings me great emotion to have created a piece of art that served to be the final inspiration for the voice of a former generation." …
