Steven Hunt put down 18 kills and Harrison Carroll tied his career high with 12 but it was not enough as No. 14 Hawaii fell to No. 9 Long Beach State 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
It was fifth straight loss for the Warriors (7-17, 4-15 MPSF).
Srdjan Nadazdin led the 49ers (12-12, 7-10) with 11 kills.
The teams meet again Saturday at 7 p.m. in Hawaii’s final home match of the season. The Warriors will honor their three seniors — Hunt, Jarrod Lofy, and Nick Castello — after the match.
