Keeaumoku drunken-driving suspect twice runs from police
A 20-year-old woman who was pulled over for investigation of drunken driving in the Keeaumoku area early this morning was finally arrested after she escaped from a police car, entered a parked vehicle then fled from police officers again.
The 20-year-old woman was arrested for investigation of drunken driving and escape. A 21-year-old woman who allegedly interfered with the original suspect’s arrest was arrested for investigation of harassment and resisting arrest.
The 20-year-old suspect was originally stopped and arrested at 3 a.m. for drunken driving but escaped from a police vehicle, police said.
She then fled into a parked vehicle where a 23-year-old woman was inside.
After police ordered the woman out, she allegedly ran away while the 21-year-old suspect allegedly harassed and interfered with officers, police said.
The 20-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said.
The 23-year-old woman in the parked vehicle later withdrew her complaint against the 20-year-old suspect for allegedly illegally entering her vehicle.
