The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a 21-year-old driver who was killed in a single vehicle crash on the H-1 freeway this weekend as Lisa Ledward of Waipahu.
The office previously said Ledward had a blood alcohol content of 0.215, more than 2.5 times the legal limit of 0.08.
John Herzog, 27, of Waianae, was also killed in the crash. A 15-year-old boy, who was the only person wearing a seat belt, was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
Police said Ledward lost control of the Dodge pickup in the Waianae-bound lanes near the Kualakai Parkway offramp in Kapolei, causing the truck to go up the right shoulder and overturn about 6:20 a.m. Saturday.
Ledward died of cranial cerebral injuries and another significant condition was acute alcohol intoxication, the Medical Examiner’s Office said. Herzog died of cranial cerebral injuries.
