H-2 southbound lane closed due to oil spill

Police closed the southbound left lane on the H-2 freeway this afternoon due to an oil spill.

A Menehune Water delivery truck traveled a quarter mile leaking oil from its engine, a police dispatch supervisor said.

Police closed at 1:10 p.m. today the left lane on the portion of the H-2 from the Leilehua Golf Course onramp, over the bridge crossing the Waikakalaua Gulch to the Mililani offramp.

The oil spill reportedly caused a minor accident. Police closed the lane  to prevent further accidents until the spill is cleaned up.
