A 30-year-old man was arrested after allegedly assaulting another man and stealing his mo-ped in Salt Lake Tuesday night.
Police said the victim, 38, reported being assaulted by the suspect about 11:35 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect then started the victim’s mo-ped and drove away, police said. The suspect sustained minor injuries while trying to stop the mo-ped, police said.
The suspect, of no permanent address, was arrested by district patrol officers at Salt Lake Boulevard and Kahikolu Place shortly before midnight. He is being held pending a charge of second-degree robbery.
