Board of Water Supply warns of impersonators
Oahu residents are being warned of recent reports of people attempting to enter private homes claiming to be employees of the Honolulu Board of Water Supply.
Board spokesman Kurt Tsue said agency employees always have the board logo, a green water drop, on their uniforms, which are nearly always green but sometimes orange.
Additionally, board employees visiting homes will always be wearing official City and County of Honolulu tags identifying them as Board of Water Supply employees, Tsue said.
They will also be traveling in board-labeled vehicles, he said.
Recent reports involved individuals wearing unmarked green shirts that resemble board attire, but with no logo, and not carrying employee ID tags, Tsue said.
Anyone observing suspicious activity is urged to call police at 911, or the board communications office at 748-5041,
