Honolulu is No. 3 in eco-consciousness
Honolulu is the third-most environmentally conscious city in the U.S. behind No. 1 Wash., D.C. and No. 2, Austin, Texas, according to research by MaxPointInteractive.
The North Carolina-based company helps retailers and brands drive in-store sales and analyzed billions of data points in its research.
The scores of the Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle and North Old Town neighborhoods boosted D.C. to the top of the ranking. Research showed two distinct types of environmentally conscious neighborhoods; those in which residents demonstrate interest by reading and discussing environmental issues, and those where residents make purchasing decisions to support “green” products.
