Honolulu braces for orthodontist convention
Some 15,000 visitors will soon arrive in Honolulu for the American Association of Orthodontists annual session at the Hawaii Convention Center May 4 through 8.
Attendees will include some 850 professionals representing more than 65 countries including China, Japan, Mexico and South Korea.
The convention will include more than 160 lectures on topics including the growing trend of adults seeking orthodontic treatments, the latest treatments developed for adult lifestyles and the latest industry technologies.
It is the organization’s first gathering since the announcement of its multi-million dollar “My Life. My Smile. My Orthodontist” campaign and website, which seek to educate the public about orthodontists’ abilities and qualifications.
