A 21-year-old Kalihi man was charged Thursday morning with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Andrew V. Nacpil remained at the main police cellblock Thursday night in lieu of $70,000 bail. His charges were third-degree sexual assault and first-degree criminal property damage.

Police said the girl reported Tuesday afternoon that she was sexually assaulted, and Nacpil was arrested shortly afterward at a Kalihi address. Police did not say why Nacpil was charged with criminal property damage.
