Honolulu police have three suspects in custody for investigation of attempted murder in a shooting Thursday night at the Nuuanu Garden Apartments.

Police said an argument between a 27-year-old man and three other men escalated into gunfire at about 10:13 p.m.

Two suspects, a 26-year-old Pearl City man and a 30-year-old Kalihi Valley man, drove away. Police stopped their getaway vehicle on School Street near Houghtailing Street at about 10:56 p.m. and arrested them after witnesses identified them.

Police said they arrested another suspect, a 35-year-old Kuhio Park Terrace resident, breaking into a home on Robello Lane at about the same time. He was also arrested for investigation of burglary, in addition to attempted murder.

The victim went to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition with multiple gunshots, an Emergency Medical Services spokesman said. Police said the victm was later upgraded to stable condition.
