Arizona sheriffs seek new leads in sex assault of Hawaii girl
Arizona sheriffs are still seeking the man who allegedly sexually assaulted a Hawaii girl at her grandmother’s home in Tucson.
Pima County Sheriff’s Department had released a surveillance video earlier this week of a man who was in the area of the home at the time of the crime.
On Friday, KVOA-TV in Tucson reported that detectives said they located the man and that he was cooperative. The detectives told the TVāstation they are moving on to other leads in this case.
Detectives have said a 6-year-old girl from Hawaii was sexually assaulted in the bedroom of her grandmother’s house April 30.
The Arizona Daily Star has reported that court documents state the girl was assaulted while she slept in a room with her two sisters, ages 8 and 10, in a front bedroom of the home.
The Sheriff’s Department said the girls and their mother were visiting their grandparents in the Rincon District on East Mountain Gate Place.
